Enter the Kingdom
Much confusion, due to not much study, exists regarding the nature of the Kingdom of Jesus. Some useful Kingdom information was shared by Peter in his second epistle (2 Peter 1:11): “For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you.” (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
“This way” is practicing the qualities faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, endurance, godliness, brotherly affection with love (verses 5-7). What is supplied to us when we practice those qualities is an abundant entrance to the Kingdom of God. Being good in those ways does not get me saved from damnation or born-again. Faith in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus does that.
The Kingdom of Jesus is His rule and dominion. It is people and spirits obeying Him. It is doing. My relationship to the Body of Jesus is being. It is my identity.
My relationship to His Kingdom is doing. Doing what He instructs me to do. It is my work.
