Serving as Reconcilers

Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ; certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Just as any social worker or licensed spiritual leader becomes responsible for getting involved when discovering any evidence of abuse or suicidal intentions, we are frequently responsible for bringing reconciliation to humans we encounter. When we see the pain and death that manifest in the lives of people who are separated from Yahweh, we know that the answer is reconciliation through Jesus, Who died to offer access and relationship.

It takes boldness to make testimony of the works of reconciliation that we are enjoying. It takes boldness to suggest consideration of the power of reconciliation that has been offered to people who are all around us. That boldness is available through the agape that the Holy Spirit wants to invest in the earth through our lives.

Our Father loved the world so much that He sent Jesus. Jesus loves the world so much that He is sending us (John 20:21). Go. Be awesome!
