Are We At War?

And what more can I say? Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength after being weak, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.                                                                (Hebrews 11:33-34 from Holman Christian Standard Bible ©®)

Are we at war? Who is doing the fighting? Does the battle belong to the Lord? Are we fighting the good fight of faith? Are we taking the land and driving the enemies of the Kingdom of Heaven out of the places of influence and control of the cultures and governments in the places where we live and shine?

We are called to peace and war at the same time. We are called to trust and to act at the same time. We are responsible for waiting on the Lord and for running to the sound of the battles we are near. Every moment, the next step we take should be under the influence of the Spirit, Who knows the plans and intents of the Holy One of Israel, and how we fit into their real-ization.

Listen and obey. Be awesome!
