Acting Like a Child

Some people were even bringing infants to Him so He might touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. Jesus, however, invited them: “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Children, when new believers, quickly want to be servants, no matter how rebellious they were previously. Adults, when new believers, frequently start the same way, but their former ways of pride quickly restore resistance to instructions and directions.

We need to always expect to be instructed by our King, and we need to be quick to obey. Otherwise, we are outside the dominion of His reign: we have not entered His Kingdom.
