Captive Thoughts

For although we are walking in the flesh, we do not wage war in a fleshly way, since the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
(2 Corinthians 10:3-6 Holman Christian Standard Bible ®©)

You may only have authority over yourself in the circles of your life. You may not be a manager or a leader of others. Whether you have clear lines of influence over others or not, you will not likely affect them for the Kingdom if you are not ruling well over your own self.

Bringing every response to every situation under the influence of the Holy Spirit and the fruit of His presence will manifest the Kingdom of Heaven in your mind first, and then in the places where you have influence. Some of the places you don’t even know you have influence, so presume you do, rather than that you don’t.

Some of your influence in the earth is not as a king, but as a priest – to intercede for those around you and influence them from the throne of Heaven. Even that requires accessing the fruit of the Spirit.
